Here at Wished, we pride ourselves on offering the best experience we can for everyone. We also think that when you are browsing the internet, you should feel safe about your data, and what is shared.

Wished is a tool that helps you collect and list all the products that you want to buy across the web, and puts it into one place. When/if you buy the product is entirely up to you.

Why do we need your data at all then?

As we mentioned, we want to give everyone the best experience possible. This can mean using information from the retail site you’re on so that we can point you in the right direction and offer you the best deal. We also do this by sharing real-time information about deals, prices, and products with the rest of the Wished community to help everyone save money.

Our Privacy Policy

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how Wished (“Wished” or “we”) processes information that we collect from both members and users of the extension and website. Wished’s products include, but are not limited to, the Wished extension for web browsers (the “Extension”), and the website located at www.wished.online (the “Website”).

 

Why do we collect data?

In order to provide all of our users with the best experience, Wished collects information that you share directly with us when you use our extension. Though you don’t have to, you can choose to provide your email to set up an account with us, which lets you add items to a wishlist, share the wishlist with a friend, and collaborate on it. You can also adjust your profile information to give your name and more details.

Wished may also collect technical information about your device, location, and the use of Wished to make sure that our products are working correctly. The information we collect is used to improve your experience and the experience of all other members.

 

Account and Profile Information

When you become a member of Wished, you share a limited amount of information during the registration process, optionally including your email address, member password and other registration information to personalise your profile.

If you choose to link a social media profile (like Facebook) at sign-in, Wished will store this information for login purposes. Linking your social media profile grants Wished access to the profile, but only as allowed by your permission settings, that platform’s terms of service, and this Privacy Policy. We will NOT track any of your social media activity, and we cannot post anything on your behalf.

As you continue to use Wished’s products, you might also provide information when you:

  • Wish for an item
  • Share wishlists with people
  • Refer friends
  • Communicate with Wished through email or other means

Technical Information

Wished automatically collects information to ensure that our products work correctly on different devices and browsers. This includes data like;

  • the type of device you’re using
  • the device’s unique ID (where available)
  • operating system
  • browser type
  • IP address
  • event stamp
  • error logs

This data allows us to make sure Wished is working correctly, and to make your experience better. It also helps us coordinate our communications and marketing campaigns.

Wished does not track your search engine history, emails, or your browsing on any site that is not a retail website (a site where you can shop and make a purchase). When you are on a pre-approved retail site, to help you save money, Wished will collect information about that site that can help us provide you with the best deal possible. We may also collect information about pricing and availability of items, which we can share with the rest of the Wished community.

 

Shopping and Usage Data

On retail sites, Wished collects the name of the retailer and product information that allows us to track price changes and update our product catalog. The information you share, and we collect, enables us to improve our products and gives us insights about pricing and availability of retail items, which we can share with the rest of the Wished community. We may also use this information to provide you with a more tailored, relevant experience or show sponsored product offers that may interest you.

 

Aggregate and Anonymized Data

We may also use the information we collect in an aggregated or otherwise anonymized form. This lets us look at interactions with our site and products generally and does not identify you or any specific person. We use this general data for research, development, marketing, analytics, and to enhance the shopping experience for the Wished community.

 

Data we don’t collect

We collect information that we believe can help us save our users time and money. This does not include any information from your search engine history, emails, or from websites that are not retail sites.

We also do not collect any bank or credit card information.
